Have an option for unlocking a DB that dbForge has exclusively locked
When I try to restore a database (from SSMS on the server), sometimes dbForge has the DB exclusively locked and the restore fails. I end up then needing to close all my tabs in dbForge, and then shutting down dbForge.
Why not have an option to release dbForge's lock on the DB?

Export Data to SQL with Structure
I would like to export data from a table to SQL and have the option of the SQL doing a "DROP TABLE" "CREATE TABLE" to create the table and insert the data. Currently the options only allow for data insert, update, etc. Please add the ability to include the structure of the table and fields.

Change database for SQLServer of Database Diagram
Impossible without "CHANGING CONNECTION" to setup a database diagram to USE a specific database. Unfortunately there is no way to "edit" the database name even in the drop down list, or to change the owner of the database diagram. This is a serious impediment to productivity.

Generate C# POCOs e.g. for Entity Framework
It would be helpful to generate C# POCO sourcecode right inside dbForge Studio.
Right click on table or view => Generate script as => C# POCO
I use code first approach, but structure changes are made directly in the database.
Of course I use VS if I have to create a complete new c# model from a database. But for single tables / views it would be a timesaver, to generatet the POCO C# sourcecode in dbForge and then copy-paste it to VS.1 vote -
Add button to refresh database list
After restoring a new database this one is never available in the search tool. It takes a reboot off SQL server.
A button to refresh the database list would be helpful.0 votes -
Add filter for Data search
Add filter for data search.
Example: search for '1234' value in tables containing 'abcd' substring in table name and/or in fields having 'id' name only.3 votes -
data comparison add specific fields only in update sql statements
In "Data Comparison tool", when two tables are compared, the user may wish to create a script to update only one of the i.e. 5 fields that have changes. It would be nice if in the header of the results grid, a checkbox existed next to each field name (only in tab "Different Records") so that the resulting UPDATE statements of the selected lines would contain only the "checked" fields.

Turn off notifications bubbles
When I execute a query, every single time I get a notification that reads 'Data is read-only'.
This is extremely annoying. Sometimes the bubble/popup will cover a part of the results grid, which means I have to wait till it disappears before I can see the result clearly.
Please add a feature to disable these popups.

Copy values from data view as 'SQL values list' for easy copy/paste into T-SQL query. SSMSBoost has this feature and I use it extensively.

Default Retrieve Data Query
Add the ability to define the query executed on a Right-Click / Retrieve Data.
I use this feature frequently and always go in and edit the query to order by id desc. It would be nice to be able to override the standard select *.

It would be extremely helpful to have "tab groups" for open SQL scripts. It would be nice to help organize multiple scripts.
When working with multiple scripts, being able to further organize them in the editor panel would be helpful, especially as a DBA. Or, as an alternative to tab groups, perhaps a project panel where scripts can be organized into virtual folders for quick access could be added.

QoL improvement: Copy paste keys to follow predominate standards
When editing SQL text, would it be possible to change the default action of cut (CTRL-X), copy (CTRL-C) and paste (CTRL-V) to operate on the current line if no selection is visible? Every programming editor I've used do this as the default. An example use case: Cursor is in the middle of my current line and I want to delete the line. Current actions required are to press the HOME key (most times twice because the line is indented), hold down the SHIFT key and press the DOWN ARROW key, then press DELETE, or start typing with the new text.…

Filtering code completion
When you filter the objects in the Explorer->Tables view
It only logical that the auto completion in the Sql script would be filtered too.Maybe an option inside Options -> Code Completion -> "Use filtering on objects" would allow the user to select the desired flavor.
If you have that option selected, when you do a filter in object explorer, when you are writing a sql sentence autocompleting tables, it only shows tables with that particular filter.
Thank you.

LinqPad-like Script Browser
LinqPad has one useful feature that could be used here in dbForge Studio too. It has a panel which shows folder structure of one specific scripts folder (configurable location). In this folder users can organize scripts into subfolders (projects). And by double-clicking on script in this panel you open the script. This folder can also be synced (via dropbox or other cloud drives) so you have same structure and scripts on multiple machines. This is a similar feature request as project workspaces. Could be easy to develop and would really help us who work on lots of projects and databases…

File open to show favourites like SSMS does
When you open a file in SSMS you can see your favourites down the left hand side, which I use a great deal. dbForge does not show this, can it?

Column / Box / Vertical Select using <Alt> key
In SSMS / Visual Studio you can select a box section / columns from multiple lines for editing using the <Alt> key (EG: Select area on a single line, press <Alt> and down / up arrow and you'll have those same columns then selected in other rows too).
This allows for quickly replacing / editing data that recurs across multiple consecutive lines - It's proved a HUGE time-saver.
I believe this is what was asked for here:
https://devart.uservoice.com/forums/177009-dbforge-studio-for-sql-server/suggestions/14157501-column-modeand it would be great to have that added into Studio.
