  5. Please develop a dbForge Studio universal - as one container-product for all DBs.
If you are an BI-Developer you are working with dufferend DB-Types at the same time. An it will be much easier to make all connections in one Program

  6. Just like in Microsoft Management Studio does in the bottom right corner. Now I have to keep doing count(*) queries just to get total number of rows in table or a select query.

  7. Can you create a new studio for DB2 ?
This way DB2 databases can be properly synced/diffed in all aspects (foreign keys, triggers, functions, schemas, etc)

  8. A previous query may have returned many rows. When I execute a different query from the same TEXT window, two outcomes may happen:
1- the query return many rows and unfortunately, dForge retain the positioning from the previous result set. I have to scroll to the top of the result set and inspect the data from there.
2- if the query fails, the result set from the previous query remains on the DATA tab which may be lead the developer to think it is the data from the query that just got executed.

Please add an option to clear the…

  11. there're a few solid Database IDE/Administration Tools for SQLite in market. I love using dbForge Studio cause the development environment and work flow are so natural and boost my productivity to manage data, analyst data in advanced. Another feature that I love from dbForge Studio are data compare, schema compare, master-data view, and database snapshot & version control.

Another tools that I review for DB Administration / IDE for SQLite is navicat. their have simplicity UI but leak advance feature in data compare, schema compare, version control and etc.

There're many free and open source DB Administration for SQLite but…

  12. This concerns, particularly, Table Editor.

Do not lock the whole environment while extracting data from a table or changing a table's structure with Table Editor.

  13. (My team is looking to move away from Toad for SQL Server and so apologies if I keep referring to Toad!)

In Toad (sorry!) when I drag a table to a database diagram, Toad will automatically pull in other tables that are related through a foreign key. This is tremendously helpful for learning about a family of tables, especially when introducing new users to our database. It is also powerful when considering schema changes, for example.

Unfortunately, Toad's Database Diagram tool lacks just about every other feature that dbForge Studio has, especially the lovely auto-layout functionality. I would love to…

  14. Implement a version of dbForge Studio that one can use to work with both MySQL and Oracle DBs rather than one needs to run two DB specific products.

  15. At least some MySQL users ought to be thinking of MySQL alternatives as Oracle will no longer have to maintain MySQL's dual licensing scheme in 2015. FireBIrd is free, mature, well supported and fast.

Also, there are no 'real debuggers' for FireBird that actually run the scripts on the server the way DbForge debugger for MySQL works.

  17. Please add the option to sort alphabetically the field list in the query designer. In the query designer, when you add a table it shows the fields only in the natural order they were added to the table.

  18. Be able to save a group of conditions (or filters) and then be able to switch over different groups with few clicks instead of type the all the conditions every time you want to switch filters

    Example:
Group1: SP contains "user" + SP contains "insert"
Group2: SP contains "admin" + SP contains "delete"
Group3: SP contains "admin" or "user" + contains "delete" + contains "insert"

  19. Options -> row numbers enabled,

After selecting all data from a result set with CTRL-A, then when the data is pasted into Excel, the row-ids are also pasted.

Looking for a way to paste the data without the row-ids. Changing the option->show row numbers each time is cumbersome.

  20. The dotConnect providers are awesome, except for one BIG issue.
We have to maintain multiple versions over a long period causing issues when we need to upgrade to new dotConnect versions (oracle specifically). The reason is basically the fact that there is no option for side-by-side installation of different dotConnect versions.

There are multiple ways to solve it. Like letting the version be part of the assembly name, or stop putting assemblies into gac at all.

In any case, solving the side by side story would take away hours of troubleshooting related to new dotConnect versions that always comes down…
