    Would be better to have an option to use old/new API which would also keep compatibility with old applications.

    This may also require to separate Interbase/Firebird providers.

    I very much would like to have this ability in dbMonitor. Assume that you need to get a parameter of a UUID field into some query editor and having to switch back and forth between query editor and dbMonitor.

    Allowing;
    - Multiple Indexes
    - Multiple fields in an index
    - Ability to set an index as "Primary Key" or "Unique" or "CaseInsensitive", etc.
    - *AND* providing a sort order by per field in a multiple field index (sort by first field descending and second field ascending)
    would be wonderful.

    I also find this valuable improvement. However, it seems Devart has SecureBridge product that they would like to market for exactly that purposes.

    This feature will be very helpful when doing application upgrades together with underlying database upgrades.

    I have old projects still using Paradox as database backend. I want to add functionality and update them, but recent versions of Delphi is not using BDE. I have to use ODBC, and that causes lots of headaches.

    I would love to be able to access my old Paradox 7 databases directly with UniDAC.
