  1. There is a problem using "groups" as a name for a table or using that word as part of a stored procedure.

I have a table named like this and when trying to make a backup I always get the same error message: Unexpected symbol 'groups'

If I try to compare 2 schemas it also fails.

In my case I use dbForge Studio for MySQL Professional Edition v9.1.21

  2. The ability to create stored aggregate functions was added in MariaDB 10.3.3. but dbForge do not read they.

    https://mariadb.com/kb/en/stored-aggregate-functions/

I see the functions in the tree, but when I try to open they I get an error like "Unable to parse source text", and when I try to backup a database that contains Stored Aggregate Function it fails.

  3. Hello, I love your software and I am using it, so for many years using and my developing experiences, how about if I handle on multiple database per project and I opened very much database's table, so I recommend software have a parent's tab for each database inside it's child tab. Its very efficient to work and easier to sort them, I will continue using your software is my core tools, so I hope this feature will be integrated soon.

    Regard!

  4. In the Database Connection Properties dialog, you can set the Environment Category to Production/Test/etc.

I have multiple instances where one database server holds the Test and Production schemas. It'd be nice to be able to label each schema accordingly.

  5. We are unable to define delimiters for variables. This causes query code from dbForge to fail when copied to a java based production environment.

Currently the dbForge variable delimiters are not compatible with many environments.

Provide means for users to define variable delimiters like DbVisualizer does.

  6. Sometimes it´s necessary to move data between databases / tables. For the common use the backup facilities are good, but when it comes to selected Data (last change > ...) it fails.
Wouldn´t it be nice to export data from a query or a view? And of course to be able to import it into some other database or table?
    Some kind of rudimentary replication.
Might be handy for updating price / article / ... Lists and sales / jobs done ... between outlets of an enterprise?

  7. Add an option to display output for multiple queries stacked instead of as individual tabs (see how this works in SSMS)

There are command line switches for generating data reports, backup, restore operations.

For help, please type the following in the command line prompt:

    C:\Program Files\Devart\dbForge Studio for MySQL>dbforgemysql

  9. Rather than 1 schema at a time, allow to compare schema/data on a per connection basis, with an include/exclude schema list. For those of use with multiple schema's to compare this would be great!

  10. I love the product, but find the table printing to be a bit basic, and also time consuming if you wanted to print several tables. I've basically switched away from EMS SQL Manager for MySQL to your product (as yours runs much faster, especially when syncing), but still have to go back to EMS to print tables (like the one attached). EMS also has a nice feature where you can select multiple tables and print them off in one go. Any chance of something similar for dbForge studio?

  11. It would be nice if the schema comparison included security. Security manager is great but if you are maintaining multiple databases, having to manually keep permissions in sync is a pain.

  12. It would be nice to have Project explorer which can hold multiple databases project, which can be then versioned.
I have database project which has dependency on different database object and it can not be built, because of missing dependency in project.

  14. When I run a sequence of stored procedure calls and somewhere in there an error occurs, the debugging session just ends. If the error could have happened at multiple places then it would be very helpful to have a back trace of the last line to successfully execute or the one that failed to execute.

  15. It's very dificult to have multiple database connections with dbforge. If you put the name of active connection on the window caption, it hould be easier to open multiple instances of dbforge and locate each one on the windows task bar

  16. Please find a way of separate queries by group. It's impossible to work with multiple connections and multiple queries with this layout.
I try to use dbforge since last 5 years or more, but allways have to give up and back to the great and abandoned mysqlworkbench.

  18. Let's say your database has enough tables to fill several screens vertically in the Database Explorer tree view, and you have multiple environments such as Development, Testing, Production.

Currently, if you have those tables filling your view, there isn't a visual of which environment contains the tables on your screen, you have to scroll.

It would be nice to increase visibility to the object level at least, if not further in such as into column lists and other areas.

One way to accomplish this involves the environment category icon. Another way, used by some other software, is to color-code the…

  19. Provide a template based stored procedure generator. This would help with large projects where CRUD stored procedures need to be generated for multiple tables

  20. I love the command palette in VS Code and Chrome Dev Console. I can press control+p and enter a filename or control+shift+p and type, find and perform common operations.
I'd love to be able to press something like that where I can type in a table name. The list would show me matching tables in all of my connections (or even just my current active connection) and give me options to select from the table, scroll to and select the table in database explorer, open the table editor, etc.
Other common commands could be in the command palette too, like:…
