Ability to turn off automatic syntax check
Add a button in the menu to turn off automatic syntax check and a button allowing to perform a one-time syntax check.

There are two inconveniences (though, the root of the problem may be the same):
1. When editing a script the text always flickers, that is quickly disappears from the screen and then appears back again.
2. During editing very large scripts the application always hangs.
In my opinion, ability to control this functionality will help in solving this problem. Let a user select whether it has to be performed automatically or manually.
