  1. The text search in trigger statements doesn't work using the "Find box" with "Look in -> Current Document".

Can you please solve this problem?

Thank you very much for your great work!

  2. JSON can store complex and dynamic relational data structures. It self describes the data structure, but when you want to import that into a relational database, you need to create the tables and capture the relationships using primary and foreign keys. A smart import which could create the tables and keys on the fly would be invaluable

  4. it is necessary to add a great feature: if there is a connection to several databases that would click on any of the objects, this database became active and the request addressed to the active database, with active database would be highlighted, and the passive was less bright. this function is for heidisql.

  6. When results from SQL query contain a newline/carriage return, only the first part of the result (until the first CR) is displayed.

For instance, if my DB field contains CR as follows :
    My Business
    1 park avenue
    New-York
    USA

When getting this field content through select, only the first line ("My Business") is displayed in the result panel.

  8. utf8 in mysql is a proprietary 3-byte format and doesn't support real utf8 encodings with 4-byte chars. As result, when dealing with real unicode, many scripts generated by dbforge fail with "Incorrect string value: \xF..." because mysql cannot understand 4 byte strings.

The correct utf8 encoding in mysql is 'utf8mb4' and everywhere dbforge puts utf8 by default (generated scripts, default connection encodings, etc), it should put utf8mb4 to improve support.

Currently I have to save all scripts and change utf8 to utf8mb4 manually.

  9. Very helpful function for me, but DBForge doesn't have it.

    From Navicat manual:
"If there are many columns in the table and you want to freeze one or more columns to id
entify the record, just simply right-click the column you want to freeze and select Display -> Freeze Selected Column or select from the View menu.
The frozen columns will move to the leftmost position in the table grid. This action will locks the frozen columns, preventing them from being edited."

  10. I would like the ability to copy the values from the Parameters grid in dbMonitor. We use a lot of GUIDs for values, and it would be so much easier to be able to copy the values from dbMonitor that were used as parameters, or that were returned from stored procedures.

  12. I am missing one feature from MySQL Workbench quite much - the "filter rows" feature that sit´s right abow the result grid. It let´s youe filter t he results quickly for a string, which I need maybe 100 times a day. This is much more efficient thant editing the query all the time (this can be quite long).

  13. It would be fantastic if we could create Excel templates that don't include a data source, file name, etc. All I really want is for my exported data to use all the default Excel fonts, formatting, etc., not the values from dbForge.

Could you please describe this in more detail and specify in what cases exactly this should be applicable?

  16. dbForge removes comments for the procedure parameters when I edit anything inside Parameter panel.

    Let’s say I have

    ...

    Code: Select all
    PROCEDURE host1355175te.spfcagain(
    IN p
userid int /comment for the procedure parameter is here/, IN ppairid int, IN pdeb int, OUT o_res int)
COMMENT 'Comment for the procedure is here'
    BEGIN

    ...

“/comment for the procedure parameter is here/” will be removed if I, for instance, edit Comment via UI in Options panel or change parameter’s order.

  17. Add a setting by default, that once enabled - stores queries that affect metadata changes in a kind of transaction log locally on hard disk.

Recenlty I've got a problem with hosting provider, who got DB dumps with only data in it, but it's lack of saving tables, procedures, views and UDFs. Its a fail.

  18. Hi,

when opening a procedure and then Find the following should not happen:
    1. Look in: All open documents. Better: Current document
    2. If you search with 'All open documents' dbForge starts looking in the other open documents and not in the current document. It should first look in the current document.

  19. In order to compare user lists, particularly for environment migration (DEV->QA->PROD), it would be helpful to allow multiple tabs of the Security Manager so that users lists can be quickly compared.

  20. LOAD DATA INFILE (Error Message "Fix")

I am requesting that you add the DETAILS from the POPUP dialog to the OUTPUT window. So after you click OKAY, you still have access to the PROPER Details including DATA FILE ROW NUMBER!

    https://www.screencast.com/t/wAdjle8sHmal

That is what I get once I clear the dialog. I get NO repeat of the "in row 1663857 of the data"

It was in the POPUP message (Called Additional Information)

    https://www.screencast.com/t/DLfhMmAK5VZz

    It would be helpful.

Please note that there is information on the error including the row number in the ‘Error List’ window that can be opened by selecting ‘View → Error List’ from the main menu (Ctrl+W, E).
