  1. I just upgraded from version 5 to 6 and found out that results from multiple queries are shown in multiple tabs which I really don't like (harder to read data). Does anyone know if it is possible to change to the way version 5 worked (results in the same tab one below the other).

  2. Most of the time, I want to see the table data, so I have to change tab from "Main" to "Data" every time I open the table details. Please add an option that remembers the last open tab for each table/view.

  3. In order to compare user lists, particularly for environment migration (DEV->QA->PROD), it would be helpful to allow multiple tabs of the Security Manager so that users lists can be quickly compared.

We will fix this issue in one of the next product builds and will notify you once it’s available for downloading.

  6. LOAD DATA INFILE (Error Message "Fix")

I am requesting that you add the DETAILS from the POPUP dialog to the OUTPUT window. So after you click OKAY, you still have access to the PROPER Details including DATA FILE ROW NUMBER!

    https://www.screencast.com/t/wAdjle8sHmal

That is what I get once I clear the dialog. I get NO repeat of the "in row 1663857 of the data"

It was in the POPUP message (Called Additional Information)

    https://www.screencast.com/t/DLfhMmAK5VZz

    It would be helpful.

Please note that there is information on the error including the row number in the ‘Error List’ window that can be opened by selecting ‘View → Error List’ from the main menu (Ctrl+W, E).

  12. I work much with large procedures and in there I have a lot of nested BEGIN END and IF END IF statements.
It's sometimes not easy to keep the overview.
A helpful feature would be to fade out or fade in code groups like BEGIN END and/or IF END IF.
In some situation you already have this but only on the highest level (stored procedures first BEGIN).

  15. In dbForge Fusion for MySQL, when you add a folder to the project in the Solution Explorer, right clicking on it does not bring up a menu. I added a folder named DataFiles to go along with Functions, Procedures, Tables and Views folders. When you right click on any of these last 4 folders you get a menu with the following choices:
    ... Add New File...
    ... Add Existing File...
    ... Add Folder
    ... Rename
    ... Delete
    ... Refresh
    ... Properties

  16. It would be really useful to have functionality to backup database schema/data into separate files. This especially handy when it comes to source code control. I know some other desktop MySQL managers do have it for ages. It would be convenient to have such a feature in dbForge Studio so we can forget about using other MySQL desktop apps.

This can be achieved in two steps using the ‘Structure’ and ‘Data’ options that are available on the ‘Backup content’ page of Database Backup Wizard that can be invoked by selecting ‘Backup and Restore → Backup Database…’ from the popup menu of a database in Database Explorer.

  17. Currently, when you are working with your own templates or ones you have modified, it is very easy to have a few syntax errors during your edits. It is my experience that the line error information is either not correct or entirely not working most of the time. Clicking on an error is useless since it does not actually take me to the error (sporadic and inaccurate). After minor template changes I made, I have often spent hours trying to figure out the error messages I get when I run, only to find some stupid one character mistake in the…

Could you please clarify what functionality you are referring to and provide us a concrete example of this? Screenshots would be also of help.

You can send a reply straight to our support system at supportATdevartDOTcom and alexaATdevartDOTcom.

  18. Allow you to pin data result tabs so that they don't close when you run a new window in the same query.

Also if you re-run a query that matches an existing result set, only update that data tab, do not clear the others.
