  1. When defining the parameters for a Stored Procedure using the UI. Could the TAB key navitgate through the columns in the list "Name", "Type" and "Direction"? It would make it much quicker to add these if the hands can stay on the keyboard.

  3. I want "Edit Parametes"-Window not modal, but as a dockable window, because I often modify params, and I want to see SQL-Code AND Params at a look

  4. It is a bit annoying when you have lots of connections in the Database Explorer and can not find a specific one. An option to sort connections by their name and the ability to search connections via name and/or host would be nice and helpful.

  5. dbForge removes comments for the procedure parameters when I edit anything inside Parameter panel.

    Let’s say I have

    ...

    Code: Select all
    PROCEDURE host1355175te.spfcagain(
    IN p
userid int /comment for the procedure parameter is here/, IN ppairid int, IN pdeb int, OUT o_res int)
COMMENT 'Comment for the procedure is here'
    BEGIN

    ...

“/comment for the procedure parameter is here/” will be removed if I, for instance, edit Comment via UI in Options panel or change parameter’s order.

  6. Add a setting by default, that once enabled - stores queries that affect metadata changes in a kind of transaction log locally on hard disk.

Recenlty I've got a problem with hosting provider, who got DB dumps with only data in it, but it's lack of saving tables, procedures, views and UDFs. Its a fail.

  9. For many cases, one can design a Pivot Table accompanied with a Chart/Graph BUT THERE is NO way one can use the CHART anywhere else apart from JUST seeing it there yet sometimes the concerned person needs to export and use the chart for further reporting needs...

Love to have a functionality that provides for Saving Chart as png, jpg, jpeg, etc ... or even pdf

    Thanks
    Stephen

  10. In order to compare user lists, particularly for environment migration (DEV->QA->PROD), it would be helpful to allow multiple tabs of the Security Manager so that users lists can be quickly compared.

  11. LOAD DATA INFILE (Error Message "Fix")

I am requesting that you add the DETAILS from the POPUP dialog to the OUTPUT window. So after you click OKAY, you still have access to the PROPER Details including DATA FILE ROW NUMBER!

    https://www.screencast.com/t/wAdjle8sHmal

That is what I get once I clear the dialog. I get NO repeat of the "in row 1663857 of the data"

It was in the POPUP message (Called Additional Information)

    https://www.screencast.com/t/DLfhMmAK5VZz

    It would be helpful.

Please note that there is information on the error including the row number in the ‘Error List’ window that can be opened by selecting ‘View → Error List’ from the main menu (Ctrl+W, E).

  15. I work much with large procedures and in there I have a lot of nested BEGIN END and IF END IF statements.
It's sometimes not easy to keep the overview.
A helpful feature would be to fade out or fade in code groups like BEGIN END and/or IF END IF.
In some situation you already have this but only on the highest level (stored procedures first BEGIN).

  17. In dbForge Fusion for MySQL, when you add a folder to the project in the Solution Explorer, right clicking on it does not bring up a menu. I added a folder named DataFiles to go along with Functions, Procedures, Tables and Views folders. When you right click on any of these last 4 folders you get a menu with the following choices:
    ... Add New File...
    ... Add Existing File...
    ... Add Folder
    ... Rename
    ... Delete
    ... Refresh
    ... Properties

  18. It would be really useful to have functionality to backup database schema/data into separate files. This especially handy when it comes to source code control. I know some other desktop MySQL managers do have it for ages. It would be convenient to have such a feature in dbForge Studio so we can forget about using other MySQL desktop apps.

This can be achieved in two steps using the ‘Structure’ and ‘Data’ options that are available on the ‘Backup content’ page of Database Backup Wizard that can be invoked by selecting ‘Backup and Restore → Backup Database…’ from the popup menu of a database in Database Explorer.

  19. Allow you to pin data result tabs so that they don't close when you run a new window in the same query.

Also if you re-run a query that matches an existing result set, only update that data tab, do not clear the others.

  20. Add option to play a sound when a execution completes. I often move to another program during processing and forget to check status
