Default author in add shelveset for review
When adding revisions to a review created from a shelveset, RA will query shelvesets from TFS. However, our company has thousands of developers, and the number of shelvesets is very large. In the default query conditions of Add Revisions, "Author" and "Get last" are empty, resulting in VS having no response for a long time when clicking Add Revisions. We hope that when adding revisions with shelveset, RA will specify Author as the current user by default, thus speeding up the query.

Choose Minimum Amount of Reviewers per Review
As a developer, I want to be able to filter for reviews with missing reviewers.
In our team we normally require two reviewers per review, sometimes only one. If a developer of our team looks for a review to join, he needs to check all tooltips of the open reviews if the required number of reviewers has already joined. If one reviewer has already joined, the review is not shown in "My Reviews", so this filter does not fulfill our needs. To achieve short review cycles in the team, developers check the reviews regularly.
A possible solution would be to…

Speed up adding comments from code
Adding a comment from code gets slower when the amount of comments increases. This already starts at say 15 comments
Steps we take: when in code, right click where to place a comment, click Add comment. Then it takes a second or 2 before the comment input is visible in the board.1 vote -
Improve scrolling experience in the comments part
The scrolling experience in the comments part of the board is quite laggy. This gets worse when the amount of comments increases. It is always there, but starts showing clearly with already 20 comments. So scrolling in the upper, overview, part the scrolling experience is normal, but in the comments part it gets laggy.

Add Support for VS Code
We use VS Code more than Visual Studio when developing web based applications. It makes sense to support all Visual Studio products.

Support Iterative Reviews on Shelvesets
Support Iterative Reviews on Shelvesets, like you do for normal changesets. What good is your new pre-commit check-in policy without this?

Renamed/moved files support
Currently, when a file is renamed and/or moved, 2 entries will appear in the changed files list. The old file will appear as deleted and the new file will appear as added. While by itself is only a nuisance, if any changes occur in the added file there is no way to compare them with the deleted file. Since rename/moving a file may also introduce changes in the file itself (like for example a changed namespace and class name) it becomes problematic to code review these cases.
As far as Git is concerned (with the proper git command) there exists…19 votes -
Make the use of the 'a review changed pop-up' configurable
The 'a review changed pop-up' appears on any change in a review. This can be very distracting. It would be nice to be able to configure when and or it appears:
- or you want to see it at all
- when you want to see it
- or it stays visible or disappears after a while3 votes -
Let View link in 'a review changed pop-up' jump to changed review
When you click the View link, directly open the review that caused the pop-up to appear. Now you end up in the review overview list without knowing which review was changed.

Review Git code without a manual pull
As a reviewer of Git code who doesn’t have the author’s repo locally, I want a better experience reviewing Git code seamlessly without pulling changes to the Git repo manually, so that I can review code quickly and without hassle.

Not able to initiate ad-hoc review from code
Whenever I am trying to initiate an ad-hoc review by selecting code in .cs file, I am getting error: "File association with Review Assistant project failed. Check the repository settings." I am using Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise and latest version of ReviewAssistant.

API for all basic interactions
There are over 60 requests for some API level access to the product. There are a ton of standard and custom issue tracking systems out there that could tie into your product. In our case we would love to tie TFS check in events to create and update reviews automatically. This seems like a major missing feature compared to a lot of other products in the space. Yours would work best if the API was exposed. People have been asking for over 2 years.
The command line is clunky and insuffiecient, or at least not documented well enough to be…

Visual studio has built-in support for reviewing git pull requests. It would be nice to use Review Assistant instead of weak built-in tool.

Code review board and opening compare view needs speed/performance improvements
The code review board inside Visual Studio lags, stutters, and is overall not very snappy. Particularly bad is the scrolling, but also it is quite slow in expanding/collapsing comments and in opening a comparison view when double-clicking a file. Would like it to be smooth and delightfully fast.
