Highlight the current block
It would be helpful to highlight the current block (the cursor position). If you have many changes in the file and go through the changes the current position is sometimes hard to identify. It would be great to highlight the current block by using another color than gray for the border.

Persist open compare tabs
Provide a way to save my set of open code compare tabs. I have a dozen pairs of directories that I often compare, and I want to be able to open all of them, and to save this set for later use.

Localization
I'd really like to have a localized version of CodeCompare. In my case a German translation would be fine.

Option for "Ignore Moved" blocks. (Structural Compare)
Using structural compare you're mostly interested in program outcome. As moved blocks(members) do not change the outcome, not being able to ignore them can add to unnecessary noise that makes comparing multiple files a lot more work.

Add a counter at the bottom showing the number of differences between two files
It would be nice to get an idea of the number of differences between two files and have that number update as differences are reduced during the merge process.

Remember syntax highlighting for certain file types
Code compare should remember when I e.g. use JavaScript syntax highlighting for Typescript files, or Java for Groovy files. So the problem that not all languages are supported isn't too bad.

Please support comparison via symbolic link
Code Compare ignores symbolic links when comparing directories. Why is this?
I use directory symlinks a lot, so I want them to be compared like regular directories.Thank you.

Non-admin/single user/portable install please
Trying to create a scoop manifest (https://scoop.sh/) for Code Compare.
Most enterprises restrict/remove Administrator for developers, it will be very useful to be able to install this without requiring Administrator access.
Adding to scoop will enable wide reach of this tool.
I am not sure why Visual Studio integration requires Administrator access, because use is able to do it without Admin rights.

Copy Web Site alternative
With Visual Studio 2019 for ASP.Net applications they removed the option to "Copy Web Site" from the context menu of the solution in the Solution Explorer. It would be a great feature to have the ability to add the Code Compare "Folder Comparison" to the context menu of a solution.
Code Compare's Folder Comparison is a lot better than the old Visual Studio method of comparing folders.

file compare limit more than 3
I have multiple instances of the same code base. Despite searching all over the web for a good way to sync code across these instances when 90% but not 100% of the code is the same, the best I have been able to come up with is doing frequent file and folder compares.
Diffuse is the best utility available currently for something like this. But it is no longer being maintained and suffers from instability issues.
Code Compare is by far the best code file comparison utility available, but it has a limit of three files, and I don't think…

Folder comparison in Source Control Explorer
It would be really great to be able to use Code Compare to compare folders (including subfolders) in Source Control Explorer? Code Compare works when comparing files but not folders - for folders the default Visual Studio comparison is used.
