incremental
would like incremental search to continue to search for search-term on subsequent requests. For example CRTL-I ABC finds the first occurrence of the chars ABC. CRTL-I again does nothing; instead it should search again for ABC.

After you find first occurrence of ABC press Ctrl+F3. This will do the job.
