allow installation on linux, directly or via wine
As the most common live platform is the LAMP stack, most people will at some point wish to debug procedures on linux. Many of us also use linux as a cheap development box.
We tested our product under Wine. Results are described on our blog http://www.devart.com/blogs/dbforge/index.php/dbforge-studio-mysql-on-linux-operating-systems.html
There are several bugs in Wine that make working with GUI nearly impossible.
Porting to Mono is impossible either (we also investigated this path).
If you want to move this process further, please try our product yourself under Wine and file bugs to http://bugs.winehq.org/
And we have to decline this particular idea on UserVoice.

Dear Devart Users,
We would like to inform you that dbForge has the ability to install the product not only on Windows but also on macOS and Linux using CrossOver by Codeweavers.
For details on how to install, check the manual below:
https://www.devart.com/dbforge/mysql/studio/cross-platform-installation-guide.pdf
Despite the fact that the instruction is given for MySQL Studio, other dbForge Studios are installed according to the same principle.

I also want dbForge mySQL products to run on my Ubuntu Linux desktop.
It fails to run under Wine. Port your things to other OS's or make it runable under wine!!!
