Meaningful test data generation is available in a new tool – dbForge Data Generator for MySQL. In a few months it’ll be implemented in dbForge Studio for MySQL.

    That would be killer!

    I just spent several hours building and piecing together half million dummy records. SLow agonzing work.

    If I could right click on a table and say FILL WITH DUMMY... and it ask me how many records! Wow!

    Yes, I know, you run into constraint issues, but that could be worked out with a "smart" random generator.
