1. XML Viewer for XML Data type

   In MSSQL Management Studio you have ability to view xml document returned from query or sp, as pretty formatted SQL document. It opens in separate window (fullscreen).
   It is a must have feature in dbForge Studio for SQL Server

2. Use SpaceBar to auto complete words and names

   when auto complete drop-down appear, we need to use space-bar to complete the word like as visual studio or ssms.

   2. Navigate to the ‘Text Editor → Code Completion → List Members’ branch.
   3. Select the ‘Whitespace’ option in the ‘Commit Selection’ section.
   4. Click ‘OK’.

3. Fix Refresh in 5.5.369

   Manual refresh appears to be broken in this version. This even includes doing an edit on a table and the script generated does not mirror the underlying table. Have repeatedly seen this.

4. Full text index sync order

   When you sync the schema of a database that has a full text index in it and stored procedures that reference that index, you cannot sync the schema to an empty database in one step. You must do the tables and the index first, then the functions and procedures.

5. Implement ALT Select

   You should be able to (when virtual space is enabled) hold ALT+Shift and using the up/down arrow keys, select in a vertical line. Allowing you to modify / add or remove characters on multiple lines simultaneously. Similar to how this works in notepad ++ / SSMS etc

6. Option to align the text in the table comparison panel

   It would be nice if there is an option to visually align the text on both sides in the table comparison panel.

   This would mean to align all exact lines on both sides and when the are lines which exist only on the left or the right to put an empty line on the other side.

   It makes the visual comparison easier and similar to how the Diff/Compare function works in Visual Studio.

7. Setting to customize the highlight color in the table comparison panel

   Currently in the differences in the table columns are highlighted with some sort of blue/green, while the column names and the DDL are also in the blue/green color space.

   It is hard to easily figure out what is the difference.

   It would be really helpful to be able to change the highlight to any chosen color - for myself I would choose yellow :)

8. Better performance for large SQL documents

   For large documents, say 100,000 lines of insert statements, shut down all language classification, lexing, parsing, etc services during a Find and Replace operation so that one isn't waiting forever for the process to complete. In my experience I waiting forever and had to kill the process. Shut down the services, perform the operation, then turn them back on.

9. bug on current sql studio.

   since the new version, quite often my sql queries execute fine, however the execution timer keeps ticking away and then the connection to the db breaks. The only way to get it back is reload the query or restart forge. very annoying.

    The Query Execution History feature is present in version 6.0.

11. dbForge Studio Database Documention can´t create "Depends On" or "Used By"

    When dbforge Studio creates the Documention for a Database all "Depends On" and "Used By" refers are empty when the Database Name contains a "-".

12. DB Forge crashing

    Probably 2-3 times a day DB Forge crashed. Quite often it does this while i'm not even using it. All I get is the windows 'dbForge Studio for SQL Server has stopped working' dialog (the one which has the Debug and Close Program buttons). This has started happening after the last update

16. Return automatic updates of studio

    Please return automatic background updates. I donn't want to enter the site, search «download» button and install updates manually. Old versions has it!

17. Unable to fix bugs

    I have reported a few bugs over the past few months, and although you are good at responding and looking into this there seems to be a few bugs that you can't seem to get right.

    1. Upgrading. It is always painful. Links that you publish to download the upgrade don't work. There are always licencing/activation problems, etc. I upgraded yesterday as advised (having gone through the normal pain to find the right place to download), and everything seemed to work. Yet today I am asked to enter my activation key yet again. Why can't you just make the upgrade seamless? It is so frustrating.

    2. Find / incremental find / find in files. It seems like you have employed someone who has no experience of how find functionality should work to fix this. Even after reporting bugs in this several times it is still not working in the way find functionality should work.

    3. Crashing. dbForge is pretty unstable. It frequently crashes. Even with the latest release, everyone on my team is reporting that it crashes 2 to 3 times a day - normally when they are not even using it.

    4. Autocomplete and code highlighting/colour coding still a little bit unreliable, and completely stops working as soon as there is any error in the code (SSMS manages to keep working so I would expect dbForge to as well).

    5. Sql Format settings - nobody can ever remember how to get to this dialog. It's as if you have intentionally hidden it from everyone.

    I am a big fan of dbForge, and I really appreciate the fact that you do respond to bug reports, but I just have the feeling that you guys need to have a release which addresses some basic problems rather than adding on more functionality, because all these issues are turning people off using it.

18. Licensing

    Every time I update db Forge I end up in the situation where it asks me for my license. This is so annoying because I then end up in this loop where I have to find my license details, enter them in, get an error message because it is not happy with it, then contact you guys to get a new license. Why can't you just remember the license and not ask me for it again until it expires. I have a team of developers who ran the update this morning and are now unable to do any work until we find the license.

20. Allow connection to SQL Server running on Ubuntu

    I was able to connect to SQL Server running on Ubuntu with SQL Server Management Studio. Be nice to do it with dbForge. Got the error message that the version of SQL Server wasn't supported when I tried.
