  1. I have found this feature in the quantum grid suit to be outstanding - and you guys know as well as I do - how easy it is to make it available. This is a no brain feature. For those reading this and potential voter, imagine being able to search any column in the data from one simple search box. then a filter list of your search is presented to you in one click. This is achievable now without any special code on the behalf of devart. Come on vote for this and you will adore it.

  4. When importing files in the Mapping screen, the software shows which destination fields are and are not mapped to a source field. It would be great to know which source fields aren't mapped to a destination fields too.

  5. This is an extension of the feature already implemented here:

    http://devart.uservoice.com/forums/77293-dbforge-studio-for-mysql/suggestions/1263699-current-timestamp-checkbox-for-a-new-column-timest

EMS' MySQL Manager software has ability to set this as a tick box option, along side the option for Update current_timetamp.

Annoying to have to type in CURRENT_TIMESTAMP into default box each time when that is the most likely default option each time you create a timestamp field.

    Thanks,
    Tim.

  7. Currently, the target directory for backups and restores is remembered between sessions as a global setting, affecting the whole application.

We store in separate directories for each connection or each database. It would reduce mouse clicks if Studio remembered the target directory of backup and restore operations on a per-connection or per-database basis.

  10. Right now I've to kill sessions/queries in session manager one by one. I would like to be able to select many of them (usualy sorted by query time) and kill them all - even if it's actually executed as individual queries.

  12. Add 'Scripts' folder location tab to 'connection' setup dialog and you would get this:

    <connection>
    ......Tables
    ......Views
    ......Procedures
    ......Functions
    ......Triggers
    ......Events
    ......UDFs
    ......Scripts
    ......SQL_Scripts

Perhaps even consider ability to enable a auto-maintained 'sqlscripts' table to any schema for unified storage. Browse to SQLScripts, right-click to Edit/Run, just like file system level scripts.

  13. In the database menu we can start, commit and rollback transactions. But sometimes I forget to start a transaction, work with a database and then I want to rollback my changes, but I can't.

Would be nice if we had an option to start implicit transactions when working with a database.

Of course there are statements that cause an implicit commit, but users should be aware about them.

So, one of the use cases can be like this:

I open a new SQL window, write a few queries and execute them. And then I see links (buttons) to commit or…

  15. hello
I use "dbForge Studio for MySQL" for a few months instead of "SQL Maestro" I used several years.
In parallel, I use "Microsoft Managment Studio" to manage Sql Server databases.
In this software, there is a feature that allows to analyze the performance of queries, and "Managment Studio" proposes ways to improve (create index, stats ...) of the application under test.
If this could be added in your software, that would be great!
    Best Regards
    pascal.

  17. Once upgraded, I don't see an easy way to revert to the prior version. It seems to entirely wipe it. Its just a matter of time before the new version exhibits some serious problem.

Additionally; it would be nice to set a preference to never accept a new version until it's been out for a month. Typically; I manually decline the upgrade until it seems like a month has gone by but that's just unscientific.

Please note that you can unselect the ‘Check updates on startup once a week’ option available in the ‘Environment → General’ section of the ‘Options’ window that can be invoked from the main menu ‘Tools- > Options…’.

Earlier product builds and versions are available to registered users only and can be downloaded from Registered User’s Area.
